Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey was a player in the hockey league. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. Her 12 WTA singles titles include a Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Her doubles game is excellent, and she won Majors during her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both of which were together with Elise Mertens. She also achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. This feat was made possible by four couples competing in the women's doubles. Only four couples who were able to achieve this feat in women's doubles. In doubles however she pushed her way to the top at the beginning of February that year after the victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in the sport of doubles. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, played with her throughout the 2018 season until the conclusion and this season in 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was briefly with her in August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach as of the beginning of 2020. Her heroes include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
